Search is becoming a conversation. Authority is becoming citation.

For 25 years, search engines indexed pages and ranked them by relevance. The model worked because the answer was somewhere on a result page; the user clicked, read, and decided.

That model is being replaced. Generative AI — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Copilot, Claude, Gemini — answers questions directly, often citing only one to three sources. The user doesn't click ten blue links anymore. They get an answer. The cited source wins.

This shift makes most existing AEO and SEO playbooks insufficient. Backlinks and keywords explain only 8–28% of AI citation behavior — depending on the platform. The other 72–92% is a different signal set: structural extractability, entity recognition, schema fidelity, authority signals, citation density, the patterns that make content cleanly extractable by an AI.

That signal set is what AIVZ measures and orchestrates fixes against. The product exists because the existing tools don't cover what now matters most.

Tony's professional history covers the structural transitions that brought us to this moment: the shift from offline reputation to search-mediated discovery; the shift from search to platform-algorithm -mediated discovery; the shift now happening from platform-algorithm to AI-mediated discovery. AIVZ is built by a founder who has operated the systems that surfaced expertise and businesses at every prior transition — and who built it specifically because the AI-mediated transition needs a category of tooling the prior eras didn't require.

The product reflects that operator background. AIVZ ships the disclosure discipline of an enterprise-grade tool: every adapter status published, every methodology cite-able, every claim scoped to what the build actually does. The product doesn't outrun the build.

Direction 01

Adapter graduation across all execution surfaces

WordPress is AIVZ's only Live execution adapter today. Five surfaces — Shopify, Wix, Webflow, BigCommerce, and Headless via MCP/CLI — are in Beta. Squarespace is on the roadmap.

The destination: a Command Center where every major web publishing surface has a Live "We Do It" adapter, executable by a single click from the AIVZ dashboard.

Citation prediction, not just citation measurement

The current AI Visibility Score is a structural prediction — it scores how well content is built for AI extraction across 93 factors. The next layer is citation prediction — modeling whether content will actually be cited, against specific prompts and AI platforms.

Developed alongside our peer front door, AuthorityGraph, which surfaces earned authority titles. Roadmapped for the next twelve months.

Direction 03

Deeper agency and enterprise infrastructure

Agency and Enterprise customers run AEO on portfolios — sometimes hundreds of client domains. The infrastructure to run AEO at that scale (multi-tenant white-label, programmatic API access, configurable per-engagement reporting, certified-practitioner programs) is core to the roadmap.

TypeScript / Next.js / React; PostgreSQL + Redis infrastructure; BullMQ-based background-worker process. The 93-factor scoring engine, per-platform adapters, and 198-route REST API are built and maintained in-house.

Methodology Research

The 93-factor taxonomy, the three-layer Stack, the Citation Core 11, and the topic-relative authority scoring framework are all canon-published and continuously refined as AI citation patterns evolve.

Customer Success

Pro tier is email-supported. Agency tier customers get a dedicated Account Manager. Enterprise tier customers get a dedicated Customer Success Manager. White-glove onboarding handled per-engagement at Enterprise.

Hiring
